REVISED ITINERARY: about to book; what do you think?

I revised this itinerary as per some of your suggestions - added a bit more time in Salzburg, but decided to keep Nice and just rework the timing a bit.

Message: Ok, we're about to book flights, etc for our trip in June 2005. Any last minute advice would be much appreciated!
(oh, flying in and out of Paris is necessary due to extenuating circumstances - everything else is fair game)

Friday June 10th - fly into Paris, stay with friends for a few days, see the sights

Monday June 13th - take morning cheap flight to Bratislava (skyeurope) and airport shuttle to Vienna - spend 3 nights in Vienna

Thursday June 16th - after lunch, take train to Salzburg, spend 3 nights in Salzburg (one and a half days seeing Salzburg, one day trip to Munich)

Sunday June 19th - Train to Bratislava - see a few of the sights and then settle into hotel near airport

Monday June 20th - morning cheap flight to Venice (skyeurope) - spend 2 nights (incl. 2 more full days) in Venice, then take night train to Nice

Thursday June 23rd - arrive in Nice in morning - spend 2 days seeing area and relaxing on the beaches

Saturday June 25th - cheap flight (easyjet) back to Paris, then spend night with friends, and fly home to Canada the next day

Thank you very much for any input!

Hi abby,

More traveling than I would do, but it looks fine.

Enjoy your trip.

I don't recall your earlier post, but:

Nights in Budapest would be preferable to Salzburg, and especially to those in Bratislava.

Nice has no sand. The "beach" is 4" stone. The water is rather murky. The prices are rather high, especially in June, if you can find a hotel. Northern Europeans rush the Med in the summer so be ready to pony up.

I know Nice has no sand - I've been there before, and in June too (it wasn't that bad). It just makes an awesome base to do day trips to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, etc.
