restaurants in Taormina

Hi! We are going to Taormina for several days in September. Could anyone please recommend a nice restaurant? We are interested in both nice and casual? Thanks!

When we were in Taormina in 1995 we stayed at a little hostel called Swizzera, which is on the outskirts of the town (near the bus station). The woman who ran the place was from (guess where) Switzerland. She gave us the best suggestions for where to dine--romantic, delicious, and reasonable. We had a spartan room with a fabulous view of the sea, and it was cheap. If she's still there, she is very friendly and will give you good advice even if you don't stay with her.

We had a wonderful lunch in the garden room overlooking the whole coast at Ristorante Granducca at Corso Umberto 172. Make reservations to get the best table because it can get very crowded.
