I haven't been to Florence in 3 years. What are the better restaurants these days?

We really liked Osteria del Agnolo on Borgo San Lorenzo right between the Duomo and the Church of San Lorenzo.

I've also heard raves about La Giostra.

The restaurant in Florence thread has been discussed several times in this forum. Do a research and you will get LOTS of info and reviews. If I am not wrong, something was discussed also last week.

Here are couple we have used over the years and return to them most each time we go to Firenze.
MAMMA GINA, Borgo S. Jacopo, 37r, $$$ just over the Ponte Vecchio, turn right and about a half block down on left..
OSTERIA DEI CINGHIALA BIANCO, $$$Borgo S. Jacopo, 4 r, just over the Ponte Vecchio, turn right and about 3/4 block down on left.
TRATTORIA CELESTINO, Pza. . Felicita, 4 r,$$$ just over the Ponte Vecchio, small square to left...
TRATTOIA IL BARGELLO, bORGO DIE gRECI, 37R, $$$ about a block east of the Pza.
della Signoria..
CANINETTA ANTINORI, Palazzo Antinori, 3,$$$$ couple blocks west of the duomo...

La Giostra is the best - I could have the spelling worng. It is is Florence. This restaurant was recommended to my husband & I by a few people before we left on our trip last August. It was FANTASTIC! We should have eaten there more than once!

We just returned from Italy. One of our favorite restaurants was in Florence. The name is La Giostra. Great food! It is located on Borgo Pinta near Sante Croce. Don't miss it!!

Acqua al Due and Da Osvaldo...we were there earlier this month and loved both. Get reservations....
