Restaurant suggestions

Hi everyone,

Can you help us out and recommend some very nice, romantic restaurants we can go to for dinner in the following towns (they can be expensive but not over the top):

- Santa Maria de Leuca
- Galipoli
- Polignano a Mare
- Ostuni
- Locorotondo
- Matera (cave type)

Thank you.

In the town of Ostuni, it's certainly not romantic but casual and delcious local cooking: Osteria Monacelle. Try local specialties such as orecchiette con cime di rape, orecchiete with ricotta forte, and assorted antipasti. It has been a few years since I've been here but I believe it's still family owned.

A few miles outside Ostuni town, try Masseria Il Frantoio-- a working estate that produces olive oils, liquors and jams, this place also has rooms for overnight stays. Excellent local food.

We spent a wonderful week in Polignano a Mare. Beautiful place!
Some restaurants:
Meraviloso-
Il Bastione
Antiche Mura
Il Super Mago del Gelo- for their Caffè Speciale, l’originale
La Cueva wine bar

Thanks for those suggestions. We will be staying for six nights just outside Ostuni and we will also have time for one full day and evening in Polignano a Mar.
