Forgot to add, we are SO glad he's flying home tonight! By tomorrow, the sustained winds around us (and we live not far from Heathrow airport) are supposed to be about 40 miles per hour, with gusts up to 60 mph. Not a good time to take off or land in a plane. I feel sorry for anyone on a transatlantic flight tonight to London...they'll have quite a bumpy descent into the UK tomorrow morning.

We were in Berlin last spring for the white asparagus season.
We had a wonderful meal in the fine dining restaurant at the DeKaWe dept. store . Also since we cannot get good schnitzel in the US we enjoy eating it in Germany. Restaurant Alpenstuek was outstanding as well as reasonable with a nice wine list.
We shall return to Berlin and northern Germany this May. Any suggestions as to cities and restaurants would be greatly appreciated.
