Restaurant (Mill?) between Dubrovnik and Kotor?

Someone in a posting mentioned a restaurant somewhere between Dubrovnik and Kotor that sounded wonderful. It was described as being along a stream, like a mill. Does anyone know where I read this? Thanks!

Hi,
Yes, we visited this restaurant near Dubrovnik. It is a beautiful setting. Here is the website:

Enjoy!

The name of the restaurant is Konavoski Dvori and it used to be one of the nicest places to eat. It is located in Konavle just a short trip south of Dubrovnik. Nowdays you will find several very large mega buses sitting in the parking lot, very big with the bus tour crowds. It used to be a local favorite but times have changed and we now have another much further up the mountain and harder to find. This is one of the 4 restaurants owned by Nautika, Proto and Mimoza and prices are high.

Glong:

I've been recommending this location to several Fodorites over the past few years. It's a winner. Thanks for the web page Laurie (hope you've been there, too).
Driving from Dub south you will pass the airport...then keep on the lookout for an arrow sign on the left..pointing up into the hills (this is at the village of Gruda)..after about 3-4 kms you will see the Dvori alongside the Lijuta river on your right. An absolutely delightful stop. The menu is "tipico" and the service by the costumed wait staff is very attentive...in warmer weather one can sit by water wheel, the falls and the rushing river. They are open for lunch and we stopped there once coming back from Sveti Stefan in Montenegro. An altogether enjoyable and memorable experience.

Beyond Kotor, sure to vist the "island" of Sveti Stefan (St. Stephen)..connected by narrow causeway to the mainland and a stony beach..quite a remarkable lodging establishment. It was a government run former fisherman's village when we were there for the first time just after Tito died (those were the long ago days when everyone you would meet in the Old Yugoslavia would proudly proclaim that they "fought alongside Tito"...a 20 year old kid told me this one time in the 70's...he was born AFTER the war.

Enjoy Croatia!

Konovski Dvori used to be one of my favorite restaurants, no longer the case. There is another same style restaurant much further up the mountain and more difficult to find.
Once KD became part of a larger company the food went downhill and it is now what I consider "Disney" type of atmosphere...
Progress, is that what we call it????? It is a shame.
