Restaurant Laurent - Paris

Has anyone eaten here lately? What can you tell me about it, other than the setting is gorgeous. Service, food, etc. Already made reservations at Le Grand Vefour for our trip. thanks

We had dinner there last March. Setting, food, service were all top rate but not extraordinary. No bargains on the wine list, as I recall, which resulted in our paying more than at Taillevent.

Thanks Ron. i'm probably in the minority on this board, but Taillevant just doesn't wow me.

Haven't eaten at Laurent yet, but Lucky You..... LeGrand Vefour was amazing and well worth it.It was one of my very favorite meals in Paris. The service was awesome, food firt rate, and worth every single calorie.

I haven't eaten there recently, but a couple of years ago. The whole was less than the sum of the parts. Food was excellent, location central, service very good, decor gorgeous as you say. But as an luxury dining experience we were disappointed, it just didn't seem worth it. Grand Vefour on the other hand is perfect imo.
