Resort/Spa Recommendations for Dolomites
Looking for a splurge to kick back and relax during the Dolomites portion of our trip. (That's always my wish, but my wife and I always wind up hiking all over the place and not relaxing at all).
Anyway, 2 places have caught my interest, I think both near Ortisei....Hotel Adler Spa and Hotel Gardena Grudnerhof.
Does anybody have any personal experiences with these places?
Adler seems to have stay limitations and check-in days (3 night stay Thu-Sun or 4 night stay Sun-Thu). Those limitations don't fit my schedule.
Any other resorts of this type to recommend in either Austria (driving from Vienna) or Dolomites?
Sitting in an outdoor pool or jacuzzi with great view is what I have in mind.
Continued thanks for all of the wonderful information this forum has provided!!!!

Hi MP - I haven't stayed in either, but the Gardena and Adler in Ortisei are two of the top hotels in the Dolomites.
If setting is the deciding factor, Selva at the top of the valley has better views. There are several 4* hotels there with spa facilities (- no personal experience):

Or consider Alpe di Siusi ...
Hope this helps ...
