Reserve Tickets Rome,Florence

We are leaving for Italy in three weeks and would like to purchase our tickets for some of the sights on ItalyGuide.it. We would like to know if the is the best place to reserve our tickets or is there a better sight.

Easiest: Ask your hotel to do it for you.

Ditto! We asked our hotel/B&B to do it for us. They'll send you an email with the confirmation number, you'll just print them and bring them to the ticket booth/office.

Thank you for your replies. We are staying in an apartment and will need to make our own reservation.
Thanks again.

Please name the particular sights you want to reserve and we can advise on the official ticket sellers.

I just looked at Italy Guide which rolls over to Rome Guide when you try to book tickets for the Vatican Museums. IMHO it's a ripoff. They are charging 40€ for an admission ticket (no tour) when you can book the same ticket directly with the Vatican for 14€.

Hi ruth,

Avoid the commercial ticket scalpers.

For Florence:
Uffizi and Academia Museum Reservations
You can purchase tickets online at http://www.polomuseale.firenze.it/english/musei/uffizi/
Have a nice visit.

ira,
Thank you for the information we will purchase our tickets from them.
Can we see a fair amount of the Uffizi if we go in the afternoon? We are in Rome for 7 days and taking the early train to Florence for the day. I thought we would start with Accademia Gallery, Santa Maria del Fiore,Baptistery, break for lunch, Uffizi and then Ponte Vecchio. Do you think we can get it all in and if not any suggestions.
Also how about some places to eat.
