When I went on ticketeria.it, to secure reservations for the Borghese Gallery for our May visit, it only lets you book 30 days in advance. Is that typical? can you book via phone for later out? Does the same hold true for booking by phone in Florence for the Uffizi and Accadamia? I was really hoping to book these asap (read--now!) to secure our spots! Info please!

Last year when I booked our tickets for the Borghese Gallery, I wasn't able to until a month prior as you stated. We went late May, early June and didn't have a problem reserving a time.
As for the tixs to the Uffizi/Accademia, I called about two months prior and was able to purchase tickets. Tickets were nearly sold out to the end of May so it's probably a good idea to call soon.
Since I called, I don't know if the website limits the sale of tickets to a month prior. You may want to call instead and get the reservations for the Uffizi/Accademia. The fees on the website are quite high.

mv_rd --yay! got my preferred days/times for uffizi and accadamia!
As for Borghese gallery, the lady was VERY nice and helpful, she says you can only book 60 days out. So now I have a BIG note on my calendar..good to know though, since this was direct from the gallery center and not from ticketeria.
Just a heads up for the rest of you!
PS-to Italy newbies (like me!) the phone reservation lines are super easy to use, and both the operators I spoke to tonight were so pleasant (not like the cranky ones you encounter far too often here in the States!!) Maybe our people (who have yet to be out-sourced)
could learn a thing or too! Very impressed!

Daisy58,
You sound like me...wanting to get everything nailed down and I don;t blame you. But don;t get angry when you get to the Borghese and hear about those people next to you who got their tickets the day before or the same day through their hotel concierge.
Enjoy the Borghese..it is wonderful.

Daisy, we made reservations for the Borghese through their direct web page. It was much further out than 30 days. We absolutely rushed there for the "must be there" 30mins prior, but quite frankly it was all laid back and people came in much later. So don't stress if you are 5 - 10 mins late. It is well worth the visit.
