Required Documents

We are taking our granddaughter to Italy at the end of May. What documents should we take to make certain we don't have any problems? Is a power of attorney from her parents enough? Thanks.

Her passport, notarized letter from both parents giving you permission to take her out of the country and permission to seek medical treatment.

The answers above assume you're talking about a child. If she's 18 all she needs is the same as everyone else - her passport. Also reco'd are her credit card, ATM card and medical insurance card.

She must be under 18 if the parents are able to give power of attorney.

Hi J,

As noted, you need permission from both parents as well as power of attorney in all matters.
