Some friends and I will be traveling to Turkey for a wedding in July, and thought it would be a great idea to hire a sailboat to travel the Dalmation (?) coast in Croatia for the week before. I've seen some references to this practice, but haven't seen a lot on how to find more info or actually book these trips (of course, would love more detail like timing, operators, pricing, etc.).

I'm not new to Fodor's chat boards but still couldn't find much - any help would be appreciated.

There is a US-based company called GPSC which does bareboat charters in Greece and may also do the eastern Med. Take a look at gpsc.com

We took a cruise on a private charter sailboat in Croatia , a really beautiful coastline , at one of the ports we talked to a group who were sailing a boat following a lead sailboat from the companythat qwned the boats, and said it was the best way to go ,

The GPSC link didn't work, unfortunaterly, but the Yacht Charter one did - this could be an interesting avenue for us.
