3 couples are island hopping in the Greek Islands in May/June. Are minivans or other rental vehicles available to accommodate 6 adults in Sifnos, Santorini or Folegandros?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. For Santorini I usually recommend Tony's in Firostefani, Spiridakos in Fira or Vazeos in Oia. If you live outside the EU you need to bring an International Driving Permit with you. If you live in the States get it at your local AAA office. Canada: CAA office. Bring 2 passport photos with you to save a few dollars.

Vehicles to seat 6 are uncommon, you'd be better off renting 2 quite small cars, the next model up usually is quite large (9 seater), few on the islands, and would cost more then 2 small ones. It also would give you much more flexibility. Example ... if you all were at a beach in Sifnos, and one person wanted to go back up to hotel in the hills; only one vehicle would mean you all had to do everything at exact same time.

Thanks, travelerjan. I did have trouble finding a "6 seater". I will go to option 2.

I actually rented one that held 8 passengers last trip from Vazeos, so I know they do exist.

Great news, brotherlee, for Santorini planners. I was mainly thinking about what to do in places like Sifnos & Folegandros, much smaller rental markets, less choice. And w. Foley, very little public transport as an option, if some in the party wanted to do something on their own.
