Rental Car Booking Sites

I will be renting a car in Madrid and leaving it off in Lisbon. Anyone have any good and reliable booking sites? I'd like to be able to pick it up in teh Moncloa area of Madrid as I was told that is closest area with exit to A-6( will be heading North to Zamora). Thank you.

Thank you for your suggestions. I think the www.novarentacar.com does not allow for pickup in one country and drop off in another. Am awaiting a reply from them. Thanks again

Be prepared to pay a steep fee for dropping the car off in another country no matter who you book through.

Perhaps you have looked into it thoroughly, but I'd think twice about renting in one country and dropping off in another country. The charge is VERY high...almost not worth it,,and the companies usually make it hard to do. We rent in Europe a couple of times a year, and have learned to work it out within the same country...even if you are going to 3 or 4 countries. We lived in Lisbon for 2 years (way back), wanted to rent there and return car to south of France. Wouldn't work, no matter how hard I tried.
Sometimes you can rent in a city close to a border...but with Madrid/ Lisbon that won't work. In Italy once we took the bus an hr. or so from Maggiore(?) to Lugano, Switz so we could turn in the car 6 days later in Zurich..for instance.
Hope you can work it out

Gina, ira's advice is right but every time I have called autoeurope I get a cheaper Quote instead of using the web-site. I don't know why. Robert is unfortunately correct, there will be a huge price add-on for droping off in another country.

Thanks everyone! The reservation I made on autoeurope.com was cancelled because they don't allow mid/full size cars for that one way rental from madrid to lisbon. I may now look to drop the car in Santiago de Compostela and take a train to Braga for a night and then onto Lisbon for 3 nights. Not quite sure how that will work, but thanks everyone for your advice. The dropoff fee was in the range of 300Euro, and not even sure I can do this.
