Renault Laguna-large enough for 4

If you have the average amount of luggage most travelers have, I'm not sure it will fit. You will undoubtedly have to put some of the luggage on the back seat between the passengers, and even then it might not all fit. I would suggest you call the car rental agency and ask about the size of the car and its trunk capacity. I believe you need to move up at least one and probably two sizes larger.

I've rented the Laguna, which is a fine car, but probably too small for your group. In the south of France, you will be well advised to keep all the luggage in the trunk, so packing light and having a large enough trunk are the keys to a successful trip. Your rental company may suggest a station wagon, but I'd avoid that since the luggage will be visible. You could squeek by with the Laguna, but it will be tight.

We rented a Renault Laguna from AutoEurope last year. Picked it up in Avignon, at the station. There were four adults, with four suitcases (2 hard side 29" American Touristers + 2 smaller soft-side suitcases) + 4 hand luggage pieces and we all fit, though rather snugly with some of the hand pieces in between us.

Hi! We are leasing a Laguna Wagon thru Renault. I have the brochure in front of me. Says the sedan takes 4 adults plus one child and suitcases as follows: 3(3) 21"x14"x7" plus (2) 28"x22"x8". The wagon has room for (2) of each of the above plus (2)7"x20"x8" cases. The passenger room is the same. Hope this helps. <BR>Shannon
