I could't agree with everyone more. The TC used to be great. How many different shows can you make about Vegas, or beach parties? Who is really watching this crap. Its pathetic.

I wholeheartedly agee with you guys. I love to travel and I'm amazed by the garbage programming on the Travel Channel. They should just get it over with and rename the darn thing the Las Vegas Travel Channel. Maybe the mob is influencing their programming.

The Las Vegas hotel industry pays the Travel Channel money to air these shows. The shows are infomercials, similar to what is on Home Shopping Network. It is unlikely the Travel Channel will ever say "no" to this money, so viewers opinions are irrelevant.

So things change. I can even remember when THIS forum was about travel.
That was before the days of endless political threads.

Travel Channel has more shows on Vegas than all the other programming combined. I have not seen any new programing or destination updates.

They should make it official and call it the "Vegas Channel". I really miss the old travel channel.

Anyone know which network owns it?

I believe the Discover Channel owns the Travel Channel. They are probably both owned by a bigger corp.
