Rehearsal dinner suggestions - Pienza or Monticchiello

I'm looking for restaurant suggestions for a wedding rehearsal dinner for 12-16 people either in Pienza or Monticchiello in late May 2020. We'll be staying at La Bandita Countryhouse, between the towns of Pienza and Monticchiello. The restaurant doesn't have to be fancy - in fact we'd prefer a rustic setting. It would also be nice if there's a terrace for dining. Our highest priority, however, is delicious food. We'd like to keep the cost below 35 USD per person, exclusive of wine, but are willing to go as high as $45. I've read good reviews for Latte di Luna in Pienza and Ristorante Daria in Monticchiello, but I can't figure out their prices or whether they have terraces and can accommodate a party our size.

I'd love to hear your experiences at these restaurants and any other recommendations you may have. Thanks in advance!

I believe Latte de Luna has a very small outside area at the entrance to the restaurant. We've dined there 3-4 times and it is a very basic, standard restaurant that you can find almost anywhere in Tuscany.

We had a nice dinner here in Pienza

It's been many years (back when I could still tuck my shirt in), but you might want to check out Osteria La Porta in Monticchiello. It was great food with a terrace that offered a gorgeous countryside view (pic below). I believe Daria was the owner, but I read the chefs stayed at Osteria La Porta when she left/sold. Still gets positive reviews. Perhaps someone on the Fodors board has been there recently and can update if still good.

La Fonte, located just outside of Pienza, would be perfect-

This is exactly what you're looking for, outdoor terrace and all. Food was delicious and they make their own wine. They also offer cheese making classes, truffle hunting, etc.

Dopolavoro at La Foce. It is just a few minutes from where you are staying.

Dopolavoro is a good option. It is big, and it has a nice outdoor area in the back.

Thanks so much!
I've looked at all these suggestions, but unfortunately I'm not finding prices. Can anyone give me an idea of what an average starter, main and dessert would run? As I mentioned I'd like to keep it under 35 USD, but am willing to go as high as $45.

I would contact the places and talk to them about what you are wanting. With a big group you can probably pre order everything or have them serve family style and stay within your price.
