Recommendations needed for one day in Lisbon
Did a search here on Lisbon and really didn't get to much.
I don't need info on hotels as that is already being provided for us.
I will be in Lisbon with my husband and 4 year old for one day (a Saturday) in a little more than a week.

Would any of you familiar with Lisbon city be willing to suggest places to see.
We will not be going outside the city with so little time to visit.

Thanks for any help.
Just walk around; in the city centre Baixa, in the old and poor but very charming Alfama. Take the tram or local train to Belem (Portuguese for Betlehem) where you find the Discovery Monument, Torre Belem and monastery. Need a half hour break? Don´t worry. The price for a cup of coffee or a small glass of local wine in a local cafe or bar is only a third or less of what you have to pay in London or some of the more expensive cities of Europe.

The historic #28 tram ride is a great way to get an overview of the town. It's cheap and takes you through a lot of sections. Once it ends you can get off and take it back in the opposite direction. Do walk around the Alfama and see the castle. Visit Belam if you have extra time.
