Recommendations for hotel with Quad Room in Amsterdam

Hello,
We are a family of four, 2 adults, 2 children age 10. We have been trying to book a quad room in Amsterdam and most search engines say don't give you a quad room as a choice. It's too expensive to book two rooms. I found one search engine on www.octupus4easyjet.com which gives you the option to request a quad room. Are there any others? Does anyone have hotel recommendations for Amsterdam with kids? We will be there 7/25-7/28/03.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Hi! I stayed in at the Hotel Le Coin in the city center of Amsterdam last month and it was fantastic. We rented a "family room" which was really 2 rooms. The larger room had one double bed, one single bed and one roll-away. The smaller room had 2 single beds pushed together but could have been separated. The rooms were connected by a central hallway that had a toilet and separate shower room. Best part was that each room has a mini kitchen with a frigde, stove top and coffee maker.
Cost was 210 euro per nite. Great location by Munt Square where you can walk easily around the center or catch a tram. Le Coin does have an elevator however the rooms I had were one flight above where the evelator went so be prepared to hike your suitcases up a few stairs!
You can take a look at this hotel at www.lecoin.nl english version is availible.
Enjoy your stay in Amsterdam!!

Thanks for that suggestion. We ended up booking two rooms at the Marriott...my husband has travel points and although it took alot of points, it still saves us euros for sight seeing, etc. From reading other threads it sounds like the Marriot is a good place to stay...central, etc. We'll see.

Marriott is in a great area and only one of 2 hotels with air conditioning (I think) should it get warm, as it did when we were there. We actually stayed across the square from the Marriott at The Park in a quad room. It was very large with an actual foyer with closets separate from the bedroom and bath (which we needed for all our luggage, our daughter had been over for 3 months). On the square you can pick up a canal tour, see all the cafes, there is even a movie theatre there which was a different, you took elevators up to the different shows. All movies were in English (after being over there for 3 months she wanted to go to the movies. The casino is there too.
You should enjoy the area, its friendly and upbeat.

We (also family of 4) stayed in a quad at the Hotel Estherea. It was very nice and an excellent location.
