We will be in Admsterdam on Easter Sunday. Can anyone recommend a Catholic Church for Mass? I know that there are many but anyone in particular that was "special".

I would re-post w/ Amsterdam in your title. "Recommend a church for Easter Sunday" could be asking about anywhere in Europe.

(I only opened your thread because it might have been asking about churches in London)

Try the Catholic Church at the Begijnhof in Amsterdam. The Catholics in the Netherlands tend to be in the south but this church is wonderful - it is a hidden church with a great history.

Netherlands is a protestant country so there's not as many catholic churches as you think. As far as I know the churches in downtown conduct their services in Dutch, so that in itself may make it a special experience.

If you're looking for an English speaking(international) congregation, there two churches (I've never been) in the southeastern corner of Amsterdam close to Diemen where supposedly there are many immigrant families. I found these from a list of English speaking churches:

1. Blessed Trinity
www.blessedtrinity.nl/find.htm (10:30 & noon mass).
2.Holy Trinity, Kikkenstein Binnenstraat 282, mass at 13:00 Tel 020-6916602

Weespxx: Thanks for the recommendation.

DAX: From what I read I knew that only about 1/3 of the country is Catholic especially after the Calvinist movement. Thanks for your information.
