Amsterdam on a Sunday

Are the Netherlands or specifically Amsterdam as closed up as Germany on Sundays?

Most Amsterdam non food shops, but not all, are actually open from 10-19 or 10-21 Tuesday to Saturday, and 11-19or 11-21Sundays and Mondays. Albert Heijns and other supermarkets are open from 8 am to 10 pm 7 days a week.
Anyway Myer has been and gone so it doesn't really matter.

10-21 is really an exception. Even in Amsterdam, that's usually only on fridays.
