rebooked trip for April 2009- CT in April?
My husband and I were able to rebook our Sept 2009 trip for April 2009. We arrive the Tuesday after Easter.
We had originally planned on spending 2 nights in CT. Is April a good time to visit? We will be driving from Venice and then departing from CT for Tuscany. Any recommendations on a convenient town to stay in?
Thanks!

I have been in the Cinque Terre in late March, and it was beautiful. I suspect April would be too, maybe a trifle warmer, but still not as crowded as in summer. The seas were even cooperative enough to allow us a boatride along the coast.

I was in the CT in the first week of April a few years ago. Evenings and early mornings we needede a sweater. But midday was warm enough for short sleeve shirts. We dressed in layers on the hiking days and shed to backpack as day went on.
We were there the week before Easter and things were pretty booked up. Our hostess told us that for Christmas everyone goes "home" but for Easter, everyone is on the move.
We stayed in Vernazza in a place that we just stumbled upon by pure luck. It was clean and had its own bathroom. The two who had the double bed said it was very comfortable. I got the folding bed that was like sleeping in a hammock without the comfort of swinging back and forth.
The boats between the towns start running on Easter Sunday, weather permitting, and are part of the CT card that you can buy in multiple days. It is good for the trains, boats, trail entrances. I think we did a bit better than break even, but it certainly was convenient not to have to stand in line for tickets.
Have a great trip! May you have as wonderful weather as we did!
