Reasonable Priced Restaurants

Can anyone reccommend restaurants with good food that two people can dine with entree prices around $10 - $17 and have a decent atmosphere, does not have to be fancy or romantic, just not cafeteria-like. Thanks!! We will be staying around Piccadilly but are willing to travel for good food!

I stayed in lancaster gate, and there is a great italian restaraunt about a block from the tube station at lancaster gate
when you get off the tube, make a right and then a left at the first street
it is on the right

I've posted this before but...

As you can imagine, there are literally 1000s of places people here could suggest, and there's also a lot of poor tourist traps perpetuating the belief that British cuisine is non-existant. You MUST buy a good guide. I suggest "Hardens cheap eats in London" - buy it at hardens.com or amazon.

If you like ethnic food then you are spoilt for choice - Indian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese noodle bars etc etc abound, and are very good quality and value (generally). Wagammams, for instance, is a chain of japanese noodle bars that make very good, very reasonable dining. Smoke free too, if that is an issue for you.

But do a good search here - this topic has been covered many times.

Watch it Kate, I've been slammed by suzburger on her identical post for suggesting how to do a search. She isn't interested, apparently.
