RCI TimeShares
Message: Has anyone had any experience with any RCI Time Shares in Europe or elsewhere? We are owners at
Smuggler's Nothch in Vt and looking for some great resorts elsewhere (anywhere) to request for future exchanges.Any
experience with gold Crown vs. other (non-crown or Inn of distinction) Resorts? We'd love to hear from you. PS. We are a

Hi, we've been RCI members for 4 years and are very pleased with our results so far. We have a time share in Sedona, Az. We have used RCI 3 times for trades, and we haven't been disappointed yet. We stayed at the Orange Tree in Florida which is a very nice place. We stayed at the White Sands in Oahu, and at a place in Lake Tahoe. This year will be are first year in Europe. We are currently planning on staying at Hinterzarten, Germany.
Hope this answered some of your questions. Good luck.

Hi Sue, Last year when we visited Europe, we took advantage of timeshare exchange in Austria and found a week on the Costa del Sol in Spain that we got as a bonus week and did not have to spacebank a week for it, at a cost of only $60 for the whole week. We found both places excellent and of high quality. Have fun, Peg.

We have been using RCI for almost 9 years and had lots of great exchanges. This year will be our first to Europe so we are a little nervous. We loved Vistana in Orlandi Florida and would be great with kids. Also stayed at Fairfield in Williamsburg, Va -
a lot of history close by but also amusement parks etc. Another favorite with the kids was a resort outside Yellowstone in Idaho - lots for little boys to enjoy. We took our girls to St Thomas but they were teenagers - not sure your boys would enjoy as much. Have fun and email if need further info.

Sue, we always do things at short notice, whenever we see a special. Because we travel off season, we always seem to land on our feet. After I booked the exchange at Grundlesee, the travel agent said we had a free side trip to Spain, I then rang RCI gave the date we wanted and said what have you got as bonus weeks. I just chose the cheapest one, as our two week trip to Europe was now extending to more than 4 weeks. we stayed at the Oceano Beach Club on the Mijas costa. It was a studio apartment with a balcony overlooking the ocean, very well equipped and wonderful managers. It was only small and a bus picked you up to take you to a big resort where you had use of full range of resort facilities. However we hired a car, very, very, cheap and spent so much time sightseeing, that we would never have used on-site resort facilities anyway. email me if you want more info. regards Peg.

We have been RCI members for about 10 years and we recently just booked our first overseas exchange. In June 1998, we will be staying for 1 wweek at the Osborne in Torquay,Devon(Southwestern part of England). We are kind of anxious to see how it works out for us. We have made many exchangs in the US. We have timeshares at Lawrence Welk in Escondido,Ca, Orange Lake Country Club in Orlando and the Ridge in Lake Tahoe. We have made many exchanges in the West. From Idaho, to Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and of course California. If you have any questions just ask.

The RCI timeshare we used on Paradise Island was clean but only had a small pool. It was a long hike to the nearest beach which cost you $5 to use. I was not impressed.
The next year - we traded for a place in Cancun, Mexico. Sorry but don't remember the name. Just do a great deal of research and find one that suits you. This one was convenient, had two pools, a nice beach front. Do not rent a car. Use bus! It was a hotel in one bldg. and a timeshare in the other.
My families timeshare is the Grand Shores West in North Redding Beach, Florida (Gulf coast across from tampa). Nothing fancy but has pool, hot tub, great beach front, sailboats. In the winter it is taken over by grandmothers and grandfathers. Actually grandma's win. No bar, no restaurant.
In June I will be staying at Seasons at Laugharne, Wales. This will be my first time in a crown royal resort. AM very excited.
Good luck.

We stayed at an RCI resort in Malaga, Spain a few years ago and this summer will be staying in Oberstaufen, Germany and Villa in Badia, Italy. We've been told that the resort in Oberstaufen is great but know nothing about the one in Italy. ANyone heard anything about it? - Residence Sottsass?
Thanks! Happy traveling!

We've loved our exchange privileges. We own in So. Calif. and have exchanged to Vistana - Orlando (excellent!) and Kingsbury Crossing in Lake Tahoe, CA, and Princeville, Kauai.
May 29th my children and I will be flying to England for our first European exchange. Two bedroom at Cromer Golf and Country Club - NE England area on the coast next to Norwich. Anyone been to this area? Also, after we fly into Heathrow, what's the easiest way to get from the airport to Cromer? (Train, Bus, etc???)
