Raleigh , N.C. to Naples

Relatives are having a hard time with airline tickets for May 21 to May 30 . They are experiencing long return layovers from Naples to Raleigh, NC. They are considering taking a long layover in Munich to compensate for the loss time. Would this be wise to do? The haufbrauhouse holds a nice appeal to them to see. Any other suggestions? Thank you. Check Delta Air Lines website. DL 6257 (ASA CRJ) leaves RDU (Raleigh) 2:45pm arrives JFK (New York) 4:21pm; DL 154 (Delta 767) leaves JFK 8:05pm arrives VCE (Venice) 10:20am+1; DL 7725 (Alitalia MD-80) leaves VCE 11:25am arrives NAP (Naples) 12:40pm. Return flights DL 7726 (Alitalia MD-80) leaves NAP 9:10am arrives VCE 10:30am; DL 155 (Delta 767) leaves VCE 12:20pm arrives JFK 3:30pm; DL 6177 (ASA CRJ) leaves JFK 5:45pm arrives RDU 7:33pm. All flights are non-stop. Max layover is JFK outbound for 3.5 hours.

There may be a way to utilize the non-stop flight from London (Gatwick) to Raleigh on American Air Lines. This means you have to leave quite early from Naples. Do not know if BA or Alitalia etc; have early flights.

As PaulR says, the best connections are on AA and BA through London Gatwick. AA codeshares on the Gatwick to London route, so you can book the entire route on AA. On flights from Raleigh to Naples, there is a layover of 3.5 hours, but this connection is only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Hope this helps,
Andre

Duh, of course I meant to say that AA codeshares on the Gatwick to Naples route!

Sorry for the confusion
