Reporting back: only a few drops of rain for our 3 days in Paris, then blue skies in Uzes for a week, and mixture of clouds, sun and sprinkles yesterday in Paris. Home today to Pgh., where it is lovely. Great trip but always good to be home!

tedgale---what do you mean about the end of Sept? After many years in France in Sept, we've encountered all kinds of weather. The most fantastic was last year at the end of Sept. into Oct.--the warmest ever.
2002, rain and floods in the south. Every year after that, mostly nice with a little rain.
I'm hoping for this Sept. to be a repeat of last Sept.

In Paris now and weather today is partly sunny and high 60's".....been here for 4days and no real rain but some showers each day but no need for umbrella even. Kind of chilly in morning and see Parisans with winter jackets still and always scarves.

I have been watching like crazy as I leave Tuesday night and the forecasts do seem to be showing it warming so... crossing my fingers and leaving the heavy coat and silk undeware at home (But I am also leaving the sandals and other "warm weather" clothing, aiming for a nice middle ground )

Thanks, Mimi. The market was wonderful. (Lots of ceramic cigales, among other things!) I may have to buy one of those pintades that you gave me the USA link for; just could not see hauling one back from the source, but they sure are beautiful.
