Rain all next week in Barcelona - Swimsuit packed - but will I use it?

So I was just on the weather channel website and seeing forecast for Rain and Thunder all next week in Barcelona. We leave for Sunday and are in Begur/Cadaques and Barcelona for a week - Leaving small kids at home with Grandma. We know we'll have a good time no matter what but are trying to manage expectations.

I have searched on all the right places completely but I couldn't figure out an hour/hour forecast to get a sense of if the rain is focused in morning/evening or an all day sort of thing.

Would love some perspective..... and am hoping it is not an all day sort of thing......

I hope the forecast improves for Barcelona, sfmaster. Same weather predicted for Rome next week. It has been hot and sunny for weeks and now rain for the days we are there. Go figure! I will have to re-think what I am packing.

My fingers ae crossed, too!

add me to the list of those with fingers crossed! We're heading to Corsica tomorrow and have the same forecast. I almost always travel to the Med in the winter so I was really hoping for some nice weather and a dip in the sea!

I've added a couple of pairs of socks and another long sleeved shirt to my suitcase. I'm sure we'll all have a good time no matter what - but sun would help.

Corsica - we almost made plans to go there. It's on our long list of places to visit. I will look forward to a report!

We usually visit Italy in July but we are trying September for a change this year. We are also hoping for sun and warm weather when we go to Sorrento. My bathing suit is already packed!

Yes, we wil all enjoy our trips but sunny weather would be great!

Enjoy your trips, everyone!

Oh thank you compatriots...... Anyone know how different forecast for Begur and Cadaques would be vs Barcelona - we are there for first 4 days of our trip 9/13. Weather website doesn't offer info for those.
