Rail tickets in Barcelona airport
Would I be able to purchase rail tickets in the Barcelona airport after arrival? In case if this is impossible, is there a place in the Eixample area where I can buy railroad tickets.
Thank you in advance.

You don't say what sort of train tickets you need to buy (commuter, regional, IC, International, etc) but you can try the following RENF (Spanish National Railwaysh) stations.
-Passeig de Gracia (Eixample)
-Placa de Catalunya (5 min.walk from
Pass.Gracia)
-Sants(Central Station - you should be able to buy any type of tickets/ reservations here although this may be of the most inconvenient location for you.)
Also, I suppose you can buy train tickets at any travel agency.
Do you know the RENF web site? :
http://www.renfe.es/ingles/index.html
BTW,BCN airport ticket office has only one window and doesn't look like it sells long distance tickets though I'm not sure. I have bought tickets there only for Barcelona and for Sitges.

kite, many thanks for your response. I need tickets for AVE train for travel between Seville & Madrid. I did try RENFE site without any success, that's why I put my question on this forum. Also, I sent the same inquiry to a couple of Barcelona major tourism websites to no avail. I'll definetely go to a Passeig de Gracia place.

Unlike Madrid's Barajas airport RENFE does not have a presence in Barcelona's airport. However, an Iberia employee in the airport told me if I follow the skywalk to the airport rail station across the street from the airport that I could buy RENFE tickets there.
I cannot vouch for the validity of this information. I eventualy bought my tickets at Barcelona-Sants station.
Unless there is something very special going on, you should have no difficulty buying AVE tickets at Madrid's Puerta de Atocha (just off the Atrium, north of the waiting area/ticket counters).

Oops, RENFE(not RENF). Arikson, you will pass by the Passeig de Gracia Station entrances anyway. Casa Batllo disigned by Gaudi is right outside one entrance. Unlike Sants, it is an underground station with no outside building.
