Hi CAPH52, I also never got around to have churros in Spain. BUT - that gives us a reason to return to Barcelona, no? That's what my dad used to say to me, "You can't visit everything in a city on one trip, or you won't have a reason to return."

Looking forward to the UK part!

hi CAPH52,

tks for your report.

we'll be doing a similar route back to the airport and also catching an easy jet flight...

a few questions:

1. how long did you have to wait for an aerobus? were you able to catch the first one or were the lines really horrendous? i'm a bit concerned as we have a 10 am flight. i'd like to catch a super early aerobus and hope to beat the crowds. but i think we'll just have to budget wait time into our return trip.

2. i'm a bit confused about where the aerobus drops you off - where is terminal b for easy jet? and how early did you get to the airport for your easy jet flight?

3. finally, can you confirm that you carried all of your bags with you on the aerobus ... i.e. you didn't put them into the belly of the bus?

thanks!!!

Thanks, yk! I've got a bit of a start on it, hoping to get some posted today.

Hi, lilaki

1. We didn't wait at all. When we got to the plaza, there was a bus there and we were able to get right on.

2. The bus drops you right at the terminal entrance. We must've gotten off at terminal A. But they're all right together. It's not much of a walk from one to the other. It's a much smaller airport than, say, O'Hare. As I mentioned, we had a little trouble finding EasyJet at first, but once we were pointed in the right direction, it was no problem at all.

Our flight was at 2:40 and check-in opened at 12:40. We must've gotten to the airport around 12:15 or so. There were already people lined up at the EasyJet desk but I don't think we got in line until 12:40. DS ran in one of the "shops" and bought water and juice and we sat where we could keep an eye on the desk. I didn't see any point in standing any longer than we had to. You don't get assigned seats so there was nothing to be gained by being "first". Once they opened, there were a lot of people in line and it moved fairly slowly. But there were a lot of lines, I'd say at least 5 or 6. I really can't remember how long it took us to get through line, probably about half an hour.

I do remember that boarding started earlier than we thought it would. Getting to our gate was a little confusing. There was a passport control area and we weren't sure at first where our gate was in relation to it. We wanted to pick up a sandwich to share and weren't sure whether we needed to do it before we went through. So we lost a little time trying to figure that out. (That's when I talked to the second info desk person.) We did buy a sandwich, chips and water and then went through passport control. We sat at the gate and ate but barely had time to finish before they announced that we were boarding. And, since seats were "general admission" so to speak, we wanted to get right in line! We did stand there for a few minutes before we actually began boarding. I could see the ladies room from where we were standing and really wanted to run in there but didn't dare take the chance!

Since we'd had to take the bus to the terminal when we came in, we were pleasantly surprised to get right on the plane.

3. There are racks inside the bus for luggage. DS and I both think we put our luggage in the rack coming in from the airport. But we kept it in the seat with us going back to the airport. At any rate, you definitely don't put it under the bus.

Hi CAPH52 - many thanks for such an informative trip report. DH, 12 year old daughter and 14 year old son will be in Barcelona (for the first time) a week today - and your report has made me even more impatient to get there!
