Samaritaine is what most think of, but do not dismiss the view from the top of Printemps. There you have a much more pleasant self-serve cafe than the sandwich place at Samaritaine....and no fee to go to the top of the Printemps rooftop.

Do they charge now to go to the top of the Samaritaine? When did it change and how much is it?

No charge to get to the cafe level and from there the view is just wonderful - you can see in every direction while enjoying a nice cafe lunch and sitting next to planters filled with fragrantlavendar, rosemary and thyme.

In Paris two weeks ago, the top floor of Samaritaine - where you can view Paris - was closed. They still had loads of bargains in the sales though, so it was well worth a visit.

It is La Samaritaine. Also you can go to the rooftop of Galleries Lafayette not as impressive but still fun. And I like the inside of Galleries Lafayette better than La Samaritaine.
I hope she's having fun!
