Question Whether To Stay in Marais or St Germain

actually, if you stay in either, you're still very close to the other one! That said, I too vote for the Marais. It's a little funkier still than St. Germain, although it's getting a little too upscale for my taste. At the moment, it's still a lot like Greenwich Village in NYC. I have stayed there a lot on my own (single woman, over 40). No problems at all.

A question for those who have rented from bienveuneaparis.com: Any problems dealing with them as an agency? Were the apartments as described? Any trouble getting your security deposit back? Thanks.

My daughter rented 3 Place Bourg-Tibourg last year and had no problems. She dealt with the owner, an American whom lived in the states.
She sent a cheque to him for the deposit and when she returned from Paris he tore it up and sent her back the two halves.
