if you do a search here on meeting at cdg, there are numerous suggestions, from the sheraton lobby/coffee shop , to the rer station cafe.
you defintely need plan B as who knows if either of your flights will be getting in more or less on time.

The most efficient way would be for the first person arriving to meet the second person outside the customs area where the latter arrives. In this way, the second person won't waste time finding the first.
Agree beforehand on one customs exit or the other to meet at if both arrive at the same time.
If it gets to be [pick a time] and one of you hasn't shown up, meet at the hotel.

You shouldn't start the other thread. You have plenty of information here.
The Hilton is not attached to CDG2, and requires a shuttle. Wait for your friend at the Sheraton. Case closed.

I strongly suggest a plan B. My wife and I were in a similar situation last summer. We were to land 30 mins apart. We arranged to meet on the second level of the RER station at the cafe. Turns out she was 7 hours late. We had a plan B which was to meet at the hotel if either one of us was more than an hour late. Turns out we needed a plan C (for many many many hours late).
Good luck!
