My family used Dr Richard Westall. He was very thorough and very interesting. Do a search on Westall for other comments.
His e-mail address: [email protected]
Try Edward Drohan, a very good guide in Rome, at [email protected]. He was born in Ireland so his English would be very easy for you to understand, rather than an Italian national, whom you might have trouble comprehending with the accent and all.

Have a safe trip.

Suggest you access www.scalereale.com and peruse their private tour offerings, including Forum, old parts of the city, etc. Their specialist for Forum and that area is Gregory, fluent in english and italian he will bring the dead alive for you. Four of us used G a year ago, and it was an amazing five hours. He brings a small van and driver to make the journey comfortable, convenient.

My husband I were so pleased also with Scala Reale. We are not big on taking tours but the two that we did with this group in Rome has completely changed our
minds. Both guides were extremely knowledgable and very entertaining.
Enjoy your trip.
Kay
