Pubs in South Kensington

We will be staying at the Park International in South Kensington. We are looking for a few good pubs for meals. I know the Rat and the Parrot are nearby. It is recommended? Any other recommendations?

When are you going? I am leaving on Mon. 7/15 and staying in South Kensington. If you tell me your dates-I'll give you my food critique. My daughter is an exchange student @ Cambridge so between her & our group we might be able to come up with ideas.

Melinda Adams
Henderson, NV

Melinda, how hot is it there now
I bet you will enjoy the break in the heat going to London!
Not a pub but there is an excellent tiny Thai restaurant in So Ken called Bangkok. We discovered it one year and must have eaten there 4 times the 2 weeks we were there

Thx for your tip on Bangkok-we will test drive and get back to you. To answer your question-see the time as this is posted and the temp is already 93-today will be 113 or more. My gal pal group will be huddled over freezing but it will be a change from the blistering heat.
I like the Anglesea Arms, 15 Sellwood Terrace, Chelsea, SW7. Phone 7373 7960. South Kensington tube. Thai lunches Tuesday and Wednesday, English lunches other five days and English suppers daily. Children welcome throughout.

Beware the Rat and Parrot chain. Like Weatherspoons and the Ale and Pie chain they have no cook, but have a factory in the Midlands that makes the meals, and workers who cook them in a microwave oven.

Welcome to London

Ben Haines
