As someone has topped this for bookmarking purposes, I will add an update RE those boats that ply the Tiber.

Last month, we wanted to take a boat upriver from the Isola Tiberina to our apartment, wh was just on the far side of the Ponte Cavour.

We noticed, however, that the winter floods had totally wrecked more than one of the landing stages -- the platforms had been lifted onto the quayside and smashed as thoroughly as if a hurricane or cyclone had come through Rome!

No doubt these will be repaired in time but I assume that for now, the winter events have suspended the operation of the Tiber boats.

If I am wrong, someone pls correct me.
