Re: Parking in Aix.....You will not have a problem, since you are staying there..you will be able to walk from your hotel. Otherwise, driving to Aix and finding a parking place can be bad, bad, bad!!!

The advantage of the Villa Gallici is that they have their own parking on premises. And from the hotel, it's an easy walk into Center Ville.

However, touring from Aix to St. Remy is at least 60 miles each way. Avignon is another 15 miles, the Pont du Gard almost 20 miles from Avignon, and Nimes at least 30+ miles from the Pont. That's the reason many suggest St. Remy as a base. Something to think about when scheduling your day trips. Places look close on the map, but not when you're actually doing the driving.
