Provence Itinery, what do you think?

After taking advice from you all I have come up with an itinery. I plan to spend 2 nights in Gordes and 2 nights in St Remy, reason being I would like 2 nights in a rustic, relaxed setting then 2 nights in a more lively place.
Sunday: Isle sur la Sorgue, Roussillon, Gordes. Stay in Gordes

Monday: Vaison, Cote du Rhone, Segreut, Gigondas, Pernes (if anyone has any suggestions for something special for my partners 30th please feel free!) Stay in Gordes.

Tuesday: St Remy Les Baux, Appilles Mts, Arles. Stay in St Remy

Weds: Bonnieux, Saignon, Oppede, Goult, Menerbes, Lacost. Stay in St Remy.

Thurs: Aix en Provence.

Does this seem ok?

That's a very ambitious itinerary! Vaison-la-Romaine is quite a bit north of the Lubéron and the Alpilles (which are more hills than mountains, BTW); so plan on Monday's being a long day.

You would do better to be based in Gordes for your Wednesday itinerary--no point in driving over to the Lubéron from St-Rémy. So add a night to Gordes and do the Wednesday trips then (a bit much for one day, though), then finish up with one night at St-Rémy.

This is more of a fly-by than an itinerary. I can't imagine getting to all of those places you've got listed on Tuesday and Wednesday. If you're driving, you'll have to deal with traffic and parking getting in and out of many of those places, and depending on the time of year you go, that could literally add hours. And if you're not driving, it's downright impossible.

The St-Rémy market is Wednesday, so whatever you do, I'd revise your plans so as to get to the market on Wednesday.

I've clicked on your screen name and read the many well-intentioned responses you received from your other thread on this topic.

Stu Dudley and others had very good advice that I think you should heed...

St remy and Gordes are very close. stay at one or the other to visit the Alpilles in the Buches-de-Rhone In the Luberon, spend a whole day to visit Gigondas, Seguret, and Vaison in the Vaucluse. (in Seguret, I like dining at Le Mesclun with a beautiful view.)
Outside of Gordes in Les Imbert, the Mas de Tourteron.

Gordes is nice, but small...it is 15 min or so from Roussillon (my personal favorite). Use it as a base to go to Roussillon, Lacoste, Menerbes, Bonnieux.. Then move on toward Nimes/Arles. From Gordes..you MUST go over mtn and see the Abbey de Senanque! Even if they are not touring, it is stunning. Great small restaurant in Gordes...Jardin Basilic...up hill across from castle..near public parking area.

Lacoste...again...not much there even with Cardin's rebuilding. There are 2 small cafes..I would do it as a morning stop with lunch overlooking Bonnieux...then drive the 5 min to Bonnieux and hike around it as well.

Nimes is quite lively...great cafe on corner of colliseum ...Arles is more touristy IMHO.

Skip Vaison unless you want to walk around the Roman ruin museum..boring. A better choice is to go to Glanum ruins outside of St. Remy. Les Baux is also touristy and price gouging, but spectacularly exposed...worth a couple hours walking up to the top...you can see to the sea!

Viens (where my Aunt lives) up from Cereste and Apt is quaint...great restaurant there...Le Petit Jardin...but not much else but a miel shop.

St Saturnin is worth a looksee...cute windmill on the top.

Axe (never been my favorite)..but bustling with college kids etc...is a pedestrian layout.

Have lots of small coins for parking..pay it, park close and save time!
