Looking for feedback on my October Provence itinerary

My SO and I are staying in Provence for a week in early October. We've rented an apartment in Uzes for the week and we arrive on a Monday afternoon.

Tuesday: Luberon--basically a driving day. Plan to see villages of Gordes, Menerbes, Roussillon, Saignon, Bonnieux, Goult & Apt

Wednesday: Visit St Remy --including market, Les Baux & onto Arles in afternoon

Thursday: Open

Friday: Market in Carpentras --what else should we do--any ideas?

Saturday: Market in Uzes & Pont du Gard. Maybe Nimes--or is my time better spent elsewhere?

Sunday: Isle Sur la Sorgue antique market

Monday: Fly back to USA

I'd love to hear some feedback from those who are experts on the area. We like wandering around villages, history, art--particularly VanGogh, shopping, taking pictures, etc.

I don't have any particular suggestions on your itinerary which generally seems fine, although not what I would personally be interested in (ie, all those markets which I don't find that fascinating, particularly Carpentras if that is the main reason for going there). You have enough free time to go with the flow as to how you feel, I think.

The main thing I noticed was Wednesday which seems pretty impossible to me. YOu must have little interest in St Remy or Arles if you plan to spend only an hour or two in each place, especially Arles. Arles isn't a little village. I think that day would be fine if you left off Arles -- ie, half a day in St Remy and then the rest in Les Baux. Perhaps you don't plan to do anything in St Remy other than the market, it's not clear. I know I spent at least 4-5 hours there and there was no market.

I don't think you'll be able to see all those Lubéron villages in one day. Perhaps you could do half of them on Wednesday, along with visiting St-Rémy. Then you could see Les Baux and Arles on Thursday.

On the other hand, you might begin with St-Rémy and Les Baux on one day, spend another in Arles, then do the Lubéron villages and Carpentras on the following two days to save backtracking.

I forgot to mention in my original post that we have been to Provence once before. We spent a day in St Remy which is why we didn't plan more time there during this trip. I do enjoy markets and I've read that the one on St Remy is a good one. We did not make it to Arles last time so I thought we could do the 3 villages in one day.

My concern is that I'm missing a great village that's not listed on our itinerary. We've been to Aix, in fact we stayed there last time. We've been to Isle Sur La Sorgue but I loved it so I wouldn't miss it!

Is there a village in the Luberon or Alpilles that I'm missing? Is there anything near Carpentras that we should include?

Thanks for your feedback

The Luberon is a wonderful area. But your drive through will mak you miss some of the villages delights. In The Luberon, there is Lourmarin .
In Th Alpilles, ther is also Maussane but thse are my favorites , Others may suggest where to go and where to eat. Make it YOUR trip and pic ck your own and that will make your visit more memorable.
In Uzes, we loved to dine at the Bistro de Grazac and dinner at Trois Salon.
