Problems with Search Feature

When I enter my screen name in the Search feature, or click on my name at "welcome specs", my recent postings don't come up. I've entered the Message Title, or key words in Search. Still nada, or something entirely irrelevant appears as a response. What happened to the Search feature while I was gone?

I had the same problems trying to find my name today using the search box, but could find my posts when I clicked on my name within a thread. also couldn't find my recent trip report in the search box at all either.

Hmm. I entered specs on the search feature and didn't get this post. I got it when I hit specs on the "welcome specs". This is like going to the dentist with two teeth that hurt, and one miraculously recovers on its own. Like God, the internet works in mysterious ways.
I could get the post by clicking on my name next to author. But this won't help unless I can find the post in the first place.

Skatedancer I entered your name in the search box and got a post for Vilnius you sent today, which referred Fodorites to your trip report. This presents an interesting scenario wherein you would have to contact me from time to time to check if you had any new messages. And I'd have to contact MFNYC or Ira to get my info. This phone tree/answering service idea doesn't really work for me.
