I hope someone can recommend a private driver for you.

Liverpool's cruise terminal is right in downtown. There is a TI office in the cruise terminal building. You may walk 50 meters to take the RED HOHO bus to go on its Blue route (90 minutes) to see the Beatles' roots outside the city and then do a 45-minute on the Red Route (also on the RED HOHO bus) for the city sights on the same ticket.
Liverpool's RED HOHO bus. Ask the driver if this bus is on a Blue Route or a Red Route before getting on.
