Priceline question
There will be four or five of us ladies going to London next year. We are leaning towards an apartment, but uncertain at this point. If we decide to go the Priceline route (if there are four of us), is there a place on Priceline to request twin bedded rooms? I don't want getting stuck with a double bed. I don't have experience with Priceline although I've looked at the site and biddingfortravel. Thanks.

There's no option to select twin-bedded rooms. That said, I've gotten twin-bedded rooms in London every time I wanted them on a Priceline bid (at least 5x or so). I think twin bed rooms are the most likely default.
If there are five of you, that would mean you would need to get 3 rooms, and some lucky woman would be on her own.

I got a 5* hotel in London on Priceline, the Sofitel St. James. When I called them to request a room with two beds they told me"All our Priceline rooms have one queen bed. You will have to pay an extra 50 pounds/$100 to upgrade to the class of room that has two beds". I did pay the upgrade, and wasn't too happy about that. I called one other time and also asked at the desk when I checked in if they would waive the upgrade charge for two beds. No luck at all.
Now I'm quite gun-shy about getting a Priceline room when I'm traveling with another woman and need two beds.

I love Priceline for London, but with 4 or 5 ladies, I'd probably look for an apartment (especially if for several days or more).
The price of 3 rooms on Priceline will add up and you can probably get a suitable apartment for about the same. Plus you would have a living room to hang out together in. And a kitchen to make breakfasts.
Our family of 4 Pricelined rooms last summer in London. At the London Marble Arch Thistle, each room had 1 bed. At the airport hotels (Sheraton Skyline Heathrow and also a prior stay at the Marriott Heathrow), we were able to get 1 room with 2 beds, so all 4 of us fit into one room.
