prayers for Wes Fowler

I have just spoken with his wife and the news is not good. Wes has brain cancer and the prognosis is terminal. I know that all of you who knew Wes on this forum will join me in praying for him. He is not able to type well now, so we may not see his sage advice here again. That is our loss !

As an actual member of the clergy and a veteran Fodorite who has cause to remember Wes fondly may I pass on the following non-denominational prayer for all those so inlined to join in silently.

"Spirit of compassion, you watch the ways of all of us,
and weave out of terrible happenings
wonders of goodness and grace,
Surround Wes and his family at this time of sorrow and pain with thoughts of all the joy, knowledge and wisdom he has shared with this community of souls bound together by a love of travel.
Wes has made a difference to many and we are but a small part of that.
Be with him and with his family now and ease their path.
Amen."

Thank you, Wes.
