Prague with a 6 month old

Off to Prague (in about 7 hours)!
Just wondering if anyone had any experience of being there with a baby, i've been before but a long time ago and in summer not in winter and travelling solo. I'm staying in the Ibis in the Old Town, unfortunately the little information it offers aside from the hotel being in walking distance from the Muncipal House and Charles Bridge is that its next door to a shopping centre and if I wanted to shop I could stay home!

So any tips on where would it suitable to visit possibly with a pushchair and also any recommendations for places to eat, not fussed on what so much but the baby has just started on solids so don't want anything too spicy

I guess you will have this info from the staff who know best what is available close to your location.
Have a great trip.

Your off to prague with a baby in SEVEN hours and just now are asking advice.. my don't you live on the line.. .lol

I would scoot over to the tripadvisor.com Prague forums.. far more active and specific than this one and you can get some places to eat recommended at least.

Ps I have travelled with babies for years( had three) and found that mostly just asking for a side of plain veggies anywhere works.. explain they are for the baby, no sauces etc. Then I had the coolest little hand grinder.. but mashing them up with a fork can work( if they are cooked soft) .. at 6 months they don't need much really. You can always pick up some jars of baby food in a local grocers too. Of course there is always bread to knaw on ( just the crusts.. the insides can break off in doughy lumps) and baby crackers. Bananas are the best portable baby food in the world too.. buy a bunch.. no need to refrigerate and when you go out just stick one in your purse, mash with a fork and a drop of milk if baby isn't a good eater yet.

Have fun..
