Prague in September?

My husband and I have booked a trip to Prague & Budapest in Sept 07 - someone on this board mentioned lots of music events there in October. How can we find info on what's scheduled during our stay in Sept? Perhaps we would want to change our travel dates. Appreciate info and advice.

You'll find lists of events in our Prague and Budapest guidebooks.

It depends on what type of music events you like.

In Prague there are several concerts available just about every night of the year, mostly of popular classics, and generally of a moderately high standard. You will find touts all over the place with leaflets advertising them.

Both Prague and Budapest have fine opera houses with programmes I am told are good, often superb. I make no judgement of my own because Opera is not my thing.

I have the impression that Hungarians are very much into orchestral music (mostly gleaned from the amount of it on Duna, one of their major television stations) so I am sure that if that is your scene, you will find something to your liking.
