Prague-Hotel Lunik

Hey Fodorites! I need your comments. I'm considering staying at the Hotel Lunik in Prague, Czech Republic. The comments on TripAdvisor are "from one extreme to the other". Has any Fodorite stayed at the Hotel Lunik? If so, what are you comments. Happy Travels!

I met some brits who were staying there, and they said it was fine. You'll probably end up taking public transit a lot, but if you're getting a good deal on price, then go for it.

I don't understand, what extreme? All comments, 17 of them, are positive, except 1 person from Boston who wrote he/she would not stay there again (I understand her reasoning). I have never seen this hotel mentioned here nor on Tripadvisor's Prague forum. Why your interest in this hotel? Out of busy central location, price? The person from Boston I mentioned above wrote one of the good thing about this hotel is it's proximity to Wenceslas square but being closer to the suqare is not necessarily a good thing. It's a street with adult oriented clubs etc, so some people actually try to avoid it. Otherwise Vinohrady is fairly a nice area although my favorite area to stay is a part of Mala Strana. More central + not that busy.

There actually are 21 reviews on Tripadvisor. 20 of them give 4 to 5 points. 5 points are maximum you can give.

Dear Kappa,
I was told about the review on Tripadvisor. I have now read the reviews myself. I feel much better. I'm considering staying at the Hotel Lunik only because of price. Happy travels!
