Prague Hotel for $1,300.00 a night.
There is this tallTV Tower in Prague (Zizkov Tower) . Most Prague people have disliked the tower for years, because of its symbolic connection to Communism.
The Tower has a restaurant and observation deck , which is nothing new, BUt now
it has a one room hotel offering superb views of Prague.
It is so luxurious that it si billed as 6 Stars.
It just opened a couple of months ago.
For those who want something special and want to splurge , it costs
$1,300.00 per night.
I think the ride up the elevator is free

I have been up that tower many many times, fanatstic views but last time I was uo there was a bout 2 years ago and the windows needed a good clean.
The resturant had eben closed for quite a few years so the obviously have changed part of this into the hotel.Don't think I would pay to stay there, mind you one of my favourite pubs is only a 100yards or so away (U Sadu).
The outside of the tower has these amazing babies/aliens clinging to it,designed by David Cerny the bad boy of czech art.
I might take a trip up there in May when I am over for the Beer Festival but the bar is selling 330ml Staroprammen at 65Kc which is almost criminal.

They are an instalation by David Cerny, seemingly they were placed in various parts of the city and slowly moved to the site over several nights, whether they are babies or aliens I am not sure, you can get closer to some of them in the park on Kampa Island.Davis Cerny has several instalations around the citymy favourite being the "Pissing Men" outside the Kafka museum, they are actually pising on a cutout of the map of the Czech Republic.

the first thing I saw of his was over 20 years ago,it was a Russian Tank that had been outside the radio station,he painted it pink over night. It is still around somewhere but I don't know where, last time I saw it was a few years ago on a barge on the River.
