I'll be arriving at 11:30pm this November in Prague at Ruzyne airport on a flight from California.

I need a cheap hotel for the night, close to that place.

I found a Comfort Inn which is about 5 miles from the airport. I haven't stayed there yet, but it got good reviews. I have a room booked there in late September.

Will you be staying in Prague for awhile or continuing on the next day? If staying in Prague, you are not more than 20 minutes from the center city by taxi at that time of night. You might as well go straight to your hotel.

I'll be taking the train the next day, so downtown would be o.k. too, just that after a long journey, I'd prefer to stay in a place within "walking distance". Knowing the cab drivers in Prague and not sure where the "AAA" cabs are, I think I won't be in the mood to argue with the driver trying to rip me off. ;-).

Both City Taxi and AAA Taxi are reliable and can be called from the airport for a pickup. The CEDAZ company that provides the scheduled shuttle service also does custom pickups outside of it normal hours and there are several private companies that will do 24/7 private pickups to center city for about 25 Euro.

Although there are several hotels within walking distance of the airport,I don't believe any could be called "cheap."

I'll be taking the train from hlavní nádraží the next day. What is important for me is to be at the hotel fast and hassle free. (arriving 11:30pm)
