Prague

We just returned from 3 days in Prague. Had an absolutely, wonderful, private guided tour by an excellent guide who lives in Prague. We had her all to ourselves, and she knew all the ins and outs to get to all the right places. Very, very, pleased.

I spent six days in Prague this summer and enjoyed it quite a bit. I didn't find the need for a guide, but then I rarely do.

Where did you stay and what did you do?

If you do not get a guide in many places , then you better do your homework well and

be able to get from point A to point B on your own.

Prague is a small, compact walking city that is a delight to explore on foot by yourself - except for the mobs of tourists in season on the Charles Bridge east over to the Old Town Square. Public transportation is great in Prague as well, so it's quite easy to get from A to B on your own.

But no doubt a good guide at your disposal would make the experience much easier and fun! I'm good at navigating strange cities on my own but many people aren't.

Hello Mahkeenac, why don't you tell us how much the Guide charged you and did you mostly walked ,had a prívate car? Or how dido you go around. Usually we go on our own, however it is always good to compare and cost is always a factor.
I am just curious : do you share meals, end up inviting the Guide....or how does it work?

We often took public transportation, or if there was a driver, we paid the driver on our own. We did notshare meals with her, as she left in the latter part of the day, and then we were on our own. She would give advice as to restaurants, etc.etc.

Hey guys,
we just returned back from Prague. You can explore the city on foot by yourself, but the guide is realy worthy. He tells you details you wouldn't find out and shows you places you wouldn't visit. It depends what you want and what you expect. We found the guide here - ohmyprague.com. We had native speaker, american guy who had lived in Prague for 5 years.
