BC, they were a Scouse quartet who wrote some good tunes in the 60's. Liverpool keep the whole shtick going because it makes money. Note that the Cavern is not the original Cavern although they want you to believe that it is. The quartet got out of the city as soon as they could afford to leave.

My SIL bunked off school, not once, not twice, but three times to see that beat combo.

Same SIL got stuck in a train due to the power cuts.

Sorry never heard of them.

Were they around at the time of “Take That”?

No BC, but they were around at the same time as many Manchester bands like the Hollies, Herman's Hermits, Freddie and the Dreamers, the Dakotas and the Bee Gees to name but a few.

SIL bunked off and saw most of those, as well as other Liverpool bands, as well. Her only excuse for going to see Herman's Hermits was she was young and didn't know any better...

It's an appropriate tune for Liverpool, as it's the time period they live in.
