Potsdam Question
Is there an easy way to get to Potsdam without having to take multiple forms of transportation? Out hotel is located near the UBahn and SBahn stations (near the Tiergarden).
We will have 3 days in Berlin and since we are not museum folks we are looking for things to do in Berlin. We like shopping and strolling about in nice venues.

It's a short train ride (under 30 minutes) from Zoo Station to Potsdam. We've done it as a day trip, also taking in the chillingly infamous Wannsee mansion..and still getting back to Berlin late afternoon.
Two museum recs for Berlin, even for non-museum goers:
The "new" Jewish Museum, and the astounding Pergammon which is a mind blower.

BillT, you need the S7 from the Berlin Tiergarten Bahnhof (roughly 45 minutes). We were in Berlin between Christmas and New Year's and I had scouted out that route for us, although in the end we chose to take our dog and drive (we came up from Vienna and had our car). We had the Berlin Welcome Card for zones A,B,and C (to include Potsdam), so depending on your transportation ticket you may have to purchase separate transit.
